The population policy of Qatar 2017-2022 aims to achieve the following objectives:

• Follow-up the implementation, the review and the development of the population policy in the light of practical application and proposals of the parties concerned by the implementation.
• Develop the institutional framework aimed at coordinating between ministries, governmental and non-governmental bodies, and regional, Arab and international organizations related to population issues and programs regarding the implementation of population policy.
• Follow-up actions aimed at integrating population issues into comprehensive development plans, especially in the social, health, educational, media, cultural and environmental fields
• Conducting population research and studies aimed at understanding the social reality in the country as accurately and objectively as possible, in order to help in developing population policies and programs.
