PPC Finalizes a Study on Social Development in Qatar

As part of its ongoing research and studies projects, the Permanent Population Committee (PPC) recently finalized a study titled "Sustainable Development Indicators in the State of Qatar: Reality and Horizons". The study, which is a scientific publication released by the PPC, is a first of a series called "Population Profiles".

The study revealed, through an analytical process of the available social indicators, that the State of Qatar witnessed an enormous improvement in the different social sectors, and, consequently, secured a distinctive position among developed countries.

The study also concluded that social development in the State of Qatar is expected to face few challenges that should be addressed seriously to avoid hampering future development, in particular, and targeting sustainable development, in general.
